Lapland, February 2019

72Hours Reload, is all about unique experiences and unique encounters on a unique location. For our 7th edition we travelled together with 32 inspiring women to Swedish Lapland and stayed for 72hours in a cozy lodge in the middle of nature.

This edition was focused on self-leadership ‘I light my fire’, presenting more of our authentic, imperfect self in our daily (business) life.

Nature was a great teacher, wind, snow, cold … we reconnected with all our senses.

Driving a snow scooter or the dog sledge was so much fun and quite an experience. Sharing these moments together also learned us that when we come with intentions instead of expectations, there is more room for presence and magic to happen.

Of course we also faced some challenges, Julie Brown of Polar Circles calls them ‘sastrugi’ (ice-formations that rise sharply out of the dominant terrain due to extreme wind or other climate conditions). She inspired us with her anecdotes of the polar expeditions she is guiding together with her husband Dixie Dansercoer and made the link with self-leadership.

We discovered the Sami Culture with local and soul sister Yana Mangi and sang joikes (traditional Sami songs) together. A magical moment.

Celebrating our last night with an apero at the campfire. #heartwarming

One of the participants Karine Van Doninck summarized the 72Hours Reload in Lapland in three words: SOUL – SISTER – SURPRISE, we all agreed !
